How it works
- Enter the one-way distance and trip type.
- Add average fuel consumption and price per litre.
- Enter travellers and optional tolls.
- Review litres, total cost, each share and cost per kilometre.
Practical example
For a 350 km each-way round trip at 6.5 L/100 km, the car needs 45.5 litres. At €1.60/L plus €20 in tolls, the total is €92.80.
Formula and explanation
Litres needed = total distance × fuel consumption ÷ 100.
Fuel cost = litres × price per litre. Tolls are then added.
Traffic, speed, load and elevation may change real-world consumption.
