A byte contains 8 bits: 600 Mbps ÷ 8 = 75 MB/s. At 40 MB/s, a download uses about 53.3% of that theoretical rate. Wi-Fi, other devices, the server and disk activity can affect the observed speed. Check whether your application displays Mbps or MB/s before comparing.
